Mariah Carey nabs 18th #1 Single - A Sad Day in Music History

Well, we knew it was coming..Mariah Carey scores her 18th number one single off of the forgettable single "Touch My Body." This sad day in music history marks Mariah Carey defeat over music legend Elvis Presley. Elvis Presley has 17 number one hits. Many people in the music industry feel that Mariah should not be in the same field as Elvis and the Beatles (the Beatles have 20 number one singles). The only good thing about this is the Elvis and Beatles catalog of music are some of the best songs in music history and have stood the test of time. Mariah Carey's catalog of music is very forgettable - if you are not a fan of Mariah's most likely you cannot name five of Mariah Carey forgettable songs. Another good thing about this is that there are talks that Justin Timberlake, Usher, Fergie etc will release Elvis’ voice in some upcoming songs...this will allow Elvis to chart and hopefully overthrow the egotistical diva. Let's all take a minute to mourn this sad sad day in music history...today marks the death of the rock and roll era.

(The picture above shows Mariah celebrating her 17th number one single in 2006, who does this?? I can only imagine what she will do for her recent 18thth number one? Maybe she will have a pole coming out of her ass and people will play anal ring toss!?)
